The Full Story

Great coffee starts at the source—and that’s why we’re proud to work with Fazenda São Lucas, a family-run farm in Alta Mogiana, Brazil, where tradition, care, and sustainability come together in every bean.

The Farmer

The farm is run by Lucas Lancha de Oliveira, a sixth-generation coffee grower who followed in his family’s footsteps. With a background in agriculture and a few years in the Brazilian military, Lucas brings both know-how and dedication to the land. His approach combines science, experience, and a deep respect for nature—and you can taste the difference in the cup. Think smooth, chocolatey, cocoa-rich flavors with a creamy finish.

The Farm

Fazenda São Lucas sits at 1,020 meters above sea level, near a town fittingly called Ribeirão Corrente—“Flowing Waters.” The farm is home to natural springs, preserved rainforest, and rich soil that’s perfect for growing incredible coffee. They grow varieties like Mundo Novo, Catuaí, and Catucaí, and they use the natural process to bring out the full character of the beans.

Lucas and his team do things the right way, from handpicking coffee cherries to making their own compost using a herd of cattle.

Their commitment to the environment and fair practices is backed by Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, and Alta Mogiana Specialty Coffee Association certifications.
