With years of expertise in business development and leadership, James is passionate about helping Case Café continue to grow while maintaining its community-focused values and commitment to quality. His thoughtful approach and forward-thinking mindset make him a natural fit for the team, driving both innovation and collaboration. Outside of work, James enjoys walking, watching musical theatre, and cheering on his beloved Sunderland Football Club. James leads our business development strategy by identifying new growth opportunities and building strong partnerships that align with Case Café’s vision. He plays a key role in expanding our brand presence, driving collaboration, and ensuring each new venture, like our Miskin Manor café, thrives from day one. James work in a hybrid capacity across the UK, driving initiatives that support sustainable growth and long-term impact.
During his time on the ERSA Board, James helped champion the employment support sector, working closely with commissioners and funders to influence programme design and policy. He is passionate about improving delivery standards and advocating for investment in services that support jobseekers, particularly in areas such as disability, youth employment, homelessness, and offender rehabilitation.

At PeoplePlus UK, James was responsible for strategic planning and solution design for high-value bids. He led the Strategy & Solutions and Bid Partnerships teams, working closely with Finance and Operations to create winning propositions and develop robust market sector strategies.
While working within Capita’s Government Services Division, James focused on securing new business and expanding the company’s reach across the public sector. He developed tailored proposals and built strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, supporting Capita’s continued growth in welfare and public service delivery
